This past weekend we took my camera and tripod to an open-ish area and attempted to get a family picture for our 2012 Christmas card.

If anyone was wondering, the self timer button is not a good substitute for a photographer. I will never do this again. It was one of the most miserable experiences and I honestly don't think we ended up with a picture for our Christmas cards. (I'm going to see if I can salvage one, but I'm not holding my breath.) Last year we hired a photographer, and we will be hiring one again next year. I learned my lesson.

During the whole fiasco Zachariah asked if he could take one of the pictures. Because this was just meant to appease my five year old I didn't adjust any settings on the camera, so we are back lit, horribly positioned and Z has a gosh awful fake smile.  But seeing Micaiah in this picture made me laugh.out.loud.

You see, while I was showing Z which button to press, Micaiah ran over and kept saying, "Me? Me? Me?". We were in a hurry and I wanted to get this gosh awful picture taking experience behind us, so I just said something along the lines of, "No, not right now. Let's go sit down so Zachariah can take the picture, ok?" Apparently I hurt his feelings and he was NOT afraid to show it.

I keeping going back and forth between laughing my head off and melting into a giant puddle. What a pitiful little baby!!!

Anyway, just had to share. It made me laugh. :) Hope everyone is having a good start to their week!
