My oldest baby turned five years old last Thursday. FIVE YEARS OLD! It just blows my mind. Usually we throw a party and invite his little friends and family members to help us celebrate, but this year (and ONLY this year) we decided to change things up a bit. We nixed the party idea and took a little trip to Orlando, Florida instead! We spent two days in Disney World and one day at Sea World. It was SO awesome! And oh-my-gosh exhausting! Seriously, I don't even want to think about going to Disney again for another 3-5 years. I will probably need that long to recover from the craziness! But it was worth it.

This was Zachariah's (and obviously Micaiah's too) first trip to Disney and our first time there as a family. I took a total of one picture with my Canon and over 200 with my iPhone. I kind of regret not using my "real" camera more, but using my phone allowed me to actually BE there on vacation and not worry about setting up the "perfect picture". During our vacation I Instagrammed some of my favorites, so I am just going to plop those into this blog post so you can see some of the fun we had during Zachariah's birthday vacation!

Day One: Magic Kingdom

Highlights:

Zachariah's favorite ride was Buzz Lightyear.

Micaiah's favorite ride was Dumbo.

Mimi and Poppie (who joined us for the first two days!) bought Z a pirate telescope. He used it for the rest of the day. :)

The boys experienced their very first Disney parade and LOVED it.

Mickey Mouse ice cream!

Day Two: Animal Kingdom

Highlights:

We went on a safari and saw some awesome animals VERY close up! Z was most excited about the giraffes and Micaiah was beyond excited about the elephants.

Visited Dino-land. A huge hit for both the boys.

Saw the Lion King show. It was AMAZING.

Ate dinner at The Rainforest Cafe.

Day Three: Sea World

Highlights:

Played in a mini-water park.

Touched sting rays.

Almost touched a dolphin!

Observed dolphins AND Orca Whales swimming under water. (So, so cool.)

Watched a whale show and a dolphin/bird show.

Zachariah rode his first roller coaster and was a huge fan!

Saw TWO beluga whales and a walrus. (The walrus LOVED Zachariah's swim shorts and played with him from behind the glass for at least ten minutes!)

Bought plush beluga whales to add to our stuffed animal collection. :)

Things I did not take a picture of:

Micaiah waking up and screaming each night because he knew we were in the same room with him.

Me attempting to get Micaiah to go back to sleep by putting him in our bed.

Micaiah tickling me and trying to play peek-a-boo with me at 2am.

Micaiah repeatedly kicking Daniel in the head.

Me tossing him back in his pack n play. (I kid. I kid. I gently put him in there.)

Me and Daniel only getting 3-5 hours of sleep TOTAL each night BECAUSE of Micaiah waking up and screaming.

Me feeding Micaiah mac n cheese at a restaurant.

Micaiah screaming through 90% of our Sea World experience BECAUSE of his dairy intolerance and his exhaustion level.

Me ugly crying, cursing the world and whisper yelling to Daniel that we are NEVER going on a vacation again where we have to share a room with Micaiah.

Daniel agreeing that even if someone paid us we would never put ourselves in a situation where we would have to share a room with him again.

Micaiah screaming for two to three hours of our 6 hour drive home.

Me contemplating throwing myself from the moving vehicle so I could escape the screaming that could NOT be consoled.

But Z had a BLAST, and we had fun watching him have a blast! No lie, Micaiah made Sea World absolutely miserable for me, but I still think it was our favorite part of the trip. Seeing the whales and all the other ocean life was just an awesome experience!

Anyway, that is our trip recapped in pictures. As I edit more I will be uploading them to facebook, but this is the gist of it!

Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week! I am off to go catch up on more of the sleep that we lost on that trip. ;)
